Nonbelievers

Nonbelievers Last year, there was a chaplain in the Air Force up in Alaska who wrote in a blog post the phrase, “There are no atheists in foxholes.” He was ordered by his supervising officer to take it down. I guess it was deemed insensitive to atheists. I kind of thought it was the job of a chaplain to be insensitive to atheists. Ted Cruz © 2016 Kwiple.com
Nonbelievers My girlfriend has got like the greatest story behind why she's not religious any more. When she was a kid, like 12 years old, her parents nailed a 25-pound crucifix to the wall right above her bed. About two week later, in the middle of the night, the crucifix falls off the wall and leaves a 2-inch gash in the back of her dad's head. Anthony Jeselnik © 2015 Kwiple.com
Nonbelievers Put them [Bill Gates and Warren Buffett] together with Andrew Carnegie, famous for his freethinking, and those three of the four greatest American philanthropists have been atheists or agnostics. (The exception is John D. Rockefeller.) In a country in which 96% percent of the population say they believe in a supreme being, that's a striking fact. It means that in one sense, Gates and Buffett are probably less self-interested in their charity than someone like Mother Teresa, who as a pious Roman Catholic believed in reward and punishment in the afterlife.
