Bullshitters say Remember, these were just ordinary  inexpensive folders with various words printed on them, but they were a 'cool' keepsake.  Perhaps the Gestpo took some of these empty  folders when they raided Mar-a-Lago, & coun- ted them as a document, which they are not. It's also possible that Trump Hating Marxist Thugs in charge will "plant" documents while they're in possession of the material. As President, and based on the Presidential Records Act & Socks Case, I did NOTHING WRONG. JOE DID! Donald Trump, @realDonaldTrump, 10:03 AM – Jan 18, 2023,  justifying classified documents at Mar-a-Lago but forgetting he earlier said they were his by right and that he had declassified them using his mind © 2023 Kwiple.com
China All the tech competence China has now  is not the product of Chinese tech leadership drawing in Apple. It's the product of Apple going in there and building the tech competence. Kevin O’Marah, a supply chain technology researcher, Financial Times, January 17, 2023 © 2023 Kwiple.com
Cities In no civilization is city life evolved independently of commerce and industry. Neither antiquity nor modern times show any exception to this rule. Henri Pirenne, Medieval Cities © 2023 Kwiple.com
Class struggle The social conflicts which  which industrial life must have fomented,  and which were so terrible in the Flanders  of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries,  were already in embryo in the very period of city evolution [in the 11th century].  The antagonism between capital and labor is thereby revealed to be as old as the middle class. Cocks of the walk say My personal ambition is to be the individual who has done the most to teach the world economics, broadly construed. Tyler Cowen © 2023 Kwiple.com
Democracy Democracy in the Middle Ages, as in modern times, got its start under the guidance of a select few who foisted their program on the confused asprations of the people. Henri Pirenne, Medieval Cities © 2023 Kwiple.com
Democracy Yet [Patrick] Byrne had the germ of the right idea. The best way to steal a presidential election would indeed be through a staged display of democratic process backed by elaborate precooked ‘evidence’ of foreign conspiracy and simplified by Fox News, social media, and other media. This is the upside-down shape of a successful American coup. Democracy is destroyed by the enactment of its protection. Conspirators succeed by foiling a“conspiracy.” Fintan O'Toole, New York Review of Books, January 19, 2023 © 2023 Kwiple.com
Fascism Fascism is technologically equipped archaism. Guy Debord, “Society of the Spectacle” © 2023 Kwiple.com
Fascists say Fuck the voting; lets get right to the violence. Shoot to kill. See an Antifa? Shoot to kill. Fuck 'em. Done with this bullshit. Roger Stone, to Danish filmmaker Christoffer Guldbrandsen, on his way home from a November 2, 2020 rally for Doug Collins, a Georgia Republican [Stone later said he was “just kidding”] © 2023 Kwiple.com
History Entire areas of our shared history will never be known because no one will receive a living wage to uncover and study them. It's implausible to expect scholars with insecure jobs to offer bold and innovative claims about history when they can easily be fired for doing so. Instead, history will be studied increasingly by the wealthy, which is to say those able to work without pay. It's easy to see how this could lead American historical scholarship to adopt a pro-status-quo bias.  In today's world, if you don't have access to elite networks, financial resources or both, it just  doesn't make sense to pursue a career in history. In the future, history won't just be written by the victors; it'll also be written by the well-to-do. Daniel Bessner, New York Times, Jan. 14, 2023 © 2023 Kwiple.com
Islam The world-order which had survived the Germanic invasions was not able to survive the invasion of islam. But now, all of a sudden, the very lands where civilization had been born were torn away; the Cult of the Prophet was substituted for the Christian Faith, Moslem law for Roman Law, the Arab tongue for the Greek and the Latin tongue. The Mediterranean had been a Roman lake; it now became, for the most part, a Moslem lake. From this time on it separated, instead of uniting, the East and the West of Europe. Kwiplers say Count votes in Congress by: 1. Calculating a Member's Proportional Vote (MPV) for each member, as follows: MPV = SPNP / NLRS where: SPNP = State's Percentage of the National Population NLRS = Number of Legislators Representing the State (in that legislature) 2. Totaling “yes” MPVs and “no” MPVs 3. Passing if total MPV is more than 50 OTHERWISE Abolish the Senate © 2019 Kwiple.com
Post-2020 Senate shituation 15 states (Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming) 2020 population: 40,085,414 Senators: 30 Republicans 1 Senator per 1,336,180 people 1 state (California) 2020 population: 39,368,075 Senators: 2 Democrats 1 Senator per 19,684,037 people 19,684,037 / 1,336,180 = 14.7, therefore: average 15er's vote is worth nearly 15 times a Californian's, a Californian's vote is worth less than 7% of an average 15er's 1 state (Wyoming) 2020 population = 582,328, therefore: 1 Senator per 291,164 Wyomians, a Wyomian's vote is worth 68 times a Californian's, a Californian's vote is worth 1.5% of a Wyomian's  © 2021 Kwiple.com
Republicans Party Trump brought the three horsemen of the apocalypse — immorality, dishonesty and bigotry. The party, complicit in all that, is dead to me, even though, I have to say,  a good chunk of my friends are Republicans. David Brooks, New York Times, January 13, 2023 © 2023 Kwiple.com
Republicans Party When people get on a bad path, whether it's drinking or gambling or political or religious fanaticism, they tend to follow it all the way to the bottom, at which point they either die or have that proverbial moment of clarity. I've been waiting for Republicans to have a moment of clarity for a while now — after Biden’s victory, or Jan. 6, the midterms, Trump's dinner with Kanye West. I had a flicker of hope that the Kevin McCarthy debacle last week would open some eyes, but probably not. Part of the problem is that so many Republicans no longer get into politics to pass legislation. They do it to become celebrities. The more feverish they are, the better it sells. Russia Now, with the Kremlin once more bleeding men and resources in a foreign war, and again sagging under a torpid economy, western policymakers risk being caught out a second time.  Just as a failure of imagination blinded the  west to the Soviet Union's imminent demise, so the same failure — and an inability or reluctance to understand Russia as the colonial empire it remains — is blinding western policymakers to the potential for the Russian Federation’s dissolution. Snapshot He lies like a goose shits. If he's not doing it at the very moment, he's about to. George Santos portrayed by Bill Maher, Real Time with Bill Maher, Jan. 20, 2023 © 2023 Kwiple.com
Snapshot Santos is the first one to realize that, since we are all in our hermetically-sealed media bubble now, you can pretend to be everything to voters in both parties  and no one on either side will notice. Everyone saw in George Santos what they wanted to see. Republicans saw a Trump-loving rich prick,  Democrats saw a proudly gay person of color, and the Proud Boys saw a guy who would blow them after a couple of beers and not tell anyone. George Santos portrayed by Bill Maher, Real Time with Bill Maher, Jan. 20, 2023 © 2023 Kwiple.com
Snapshot Shrugging off Mr. Trump’s 2024 candidacy or writing his political obituary is a fool's errand — he endures persecution and eludes prosecution like no other public figure. That could change, of course, though that cat has nine lives. Donald Trump portrayed by Kellyanne Conway, New York Times, January 13, 2023 © 2023 Kwiple.com
Surely you jest You can’t make this crap up. George Santos, commenting on the four days it took Republicans to elect Kevin McCarthy Speaker of the House --> © 2023 Kwiple.com
Trumpism Trumpism is a political tendency catering to the deep visceral sense that we  used to run things  until they  came along and took that control away. That's it. And now they  run things and we  need someone strong, powerful, potent, who will take the country back so we  can run it and make it great again. …  The wes on average, in the main, tend to be white,  working-class folks, particularly those who are  rural, Christian-identified, although they are by  no means the only people who fall into this group. … As for the theys, in contrast to the wes, the list keeps getting longer and longer. … It's black folks  and non-white folks in general. It's LGBTQ folks,  businesses that host drag lunches, teachers and  librarians, academics, the media, public health officials, woke billion-dollar corporations, the so-called deep state, the FBI, just to name a few. Trumpists say I think some of it, on the media side, was probably blown out of proportion. Do I think someone should have died? Do I think they should have went to the Capitol? No. I think the rally itself made enough of a point. But I really don’t think it was planned or anything. I don’t think they were incited, either. I think a lot of people just got all their emotions all up in an uproar and there were consequences to that. Justin, 39, white, La., administrative assistant, a participant in New York Times focus group, asked about your memories of January 6 © 2023 Kwiple.com
Trumpists say Just start putting things back on the right track. It makes me scratch my head that the country never did better than when Trump was president — never. You know what I mean? The gas prices were low. The border was under control. Everything was just great. And he got run out of town just because  he sends mean tweets and has a big mouth. They'd rather elect a nice guy and have the country in the toilet. Andrea, 49, white, N.J., executive assistant, a participant in New York Times focus group, asked what you'd like Republicans to do now that they control the House © 2023 Kwiple.com
Trumpists say Mark, in seeing what's happening so quickly, and reading about the Dominion law suits attempting to stop any meaningful investi- gation we are at a point of no return  !! Our LAST HOPE is invoking Marshall Law!! PLEASE URGE TO PRESIDENT TO DO SO!! Ralph Norman, January 17, 2021, text message to Mark Meadows, Trump's White House Chief of Staff [Enquiring minds want to know: Was Law a marshal or a sheriff?] © 2023 Kwiple.com
Trumpists say No, not at all, especially this Jan. 6 commission. Like I said, they could have started at 8 on a Monday. They would have had their conclusion at   five after 8. They knew what they were going to do. Barney, 72, white, Del., retired, a participant in New York Times focus group, asked if you've heard anything that changed your mind about what happened on January 6 © 2023 Kwiple.com
Trumpists say They’re Bolsheviks, so, they probably do hate the American founders and most White people in general.  This is a Bolshevistic anti-White campaign. If you can’t see that, your eyes are freaking closed. And so, they see me as a young Christian who they can try to basically scare, right? And, so today was just a lot of saying that I am invoking my right to silence under executve privilege in the Fifth Amendment. Trumpists say We’ve got so many regulations, taxes and controls and spending and everything. Get back to the fundamentals. Less government involvement. We should have an army, a military. That's  about it. Otherwise, just stay out of the way. I tend to agree with Sandy, just hoping that we could start letting the Constitution be the Constitution and let us have our rights with freedom of speech and just start living the way that they did hundreds of years ago, when they believed in our country. Sandy, 48, white, Calif., property manager, and Michael, 65, white, Utah, retired, participants in New York Times focus group, asked about signs that would indicate to them that American democracy is healthy © 2023 Kwiple.com
