2018 midterm elections As long as I campaign and/or support Senate and House candidates (within reason), they will win! I LOVE the people, & they certainly seem to like the job I'm doing. If I find the time, in between China, Iran, the Economy and much more, which I must, we will have a giant Red Wave! Donald Trump, 8:25 AM – 8 Aug 2018 © 2018 Kwiple.com
2018 midterm elections I don't want to say the Army is being used as props, but instead of “move out,” the commanding officer now says, “Places! Places everyone!” Bill Maher, Real Time with Bill Maher, Nov. 2, 2018, on Trump deploying up to 15,000 troops on the Mexican border to stare down refugess fleeing violence in Honduros  © 2018 Kwiple.com

2018 midterm elections In the 2018 election, density was the single strongest determinant of who voted Democratic and who voted Republican, with eight hundred people per square mile being the cutoff. Below that number, 66 percent voted Republican. Above it, 66 percent voted Democratic. Stephen Marche, The Next Civil War  © 2022 Kwiple.com

2018 midterm elections They [people] should vote against Republicans in a spirit that is, if you will, prepartisan and prepolitical. Their attitude should be: The rule of law is a threshold value in American politics, and a party that endangers this value disqualifies itself, period. In other words, under certain peculiar and deeply regrettable circumstances, sophisticated, independent-minded voters need to act as if they were dumb-ass partisans. 2018 midterm elections This is going to be  a challenging election year. We know the wind is going to be in our face. We don't know whether it's going to be a Category 3, 4 or 5. Mitch McConnell, Republican Senate Majority Leader, April 4, 2018 © 2018 Kwiple.com
2018 midterm elections Trump keeps complaining the mail bomber and the synagogue shooter have hurt his election momemtum. That's his gripe. These real attacks are taking attention away from my made-up attack. How's a guy supposed to stir up hatred for Democrats and Jews when all the media reports is attacks on Democrats and Jews? Political inequality On Tuesday, according to The Times, Democratic Senate candidates garnered 45 million votes, and Republicans just 33 million (57 percent to 42 percent). Liars say I'm very concerned that Russia will be fighting very hard to have an impact on the upcoming Election. Based on the fact that no President has been tougher on Russia than me, they will be pushing very hard for Democrats. They definitely don't want Trump! Political inequality Wisconsin's legislative maps drawn in 2011, protected Republican supermajorities even after Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican, was defeated last year. Republican candidates for the State Assembly won just 46 percent of the popular vote, but they captured 64 percent of the chamber's seats. New York Times, January 3, 2019 © 2019 Kwiple.com
Republican Party A certain form of partisanship is now a moral necessity. The Republican Party, as an institution, has become a danger to the rule of law and the integrity of our democracy. The problem is not just Donald Trump; it's the larger political apparatus that made a conscious decision to enable him. In a two-party system, nonpartisanship works only if both parties are consistent democratic actors. If one of them is not predictably so, the space for nonpartisans evaporates. We're thus driven to believe that the best hope of defending the country from Trump's enablers, and of saving the Republican Party from itself, is to … vote mindlessly and mechanically against Republicans at every opportunity, or until the party either rights itself or implodes (very preferably the former).
