The Big Lie The “Big Lie,” a term that originates with Hitler, became central to American political discourse after I applied it to Trump's claim to have won an election he had lost. The concept of the “Big Lie,” which I reintroduced into discussion in 2019 and 2020, helped millions of people see how mendacity of a certian scale affects politics over time, making democracy ever more difficult. The Big Lie Hitler says if you tell a lie that's of a certain scale that's big enough, people won't believe that you could deceive them on that scale. And since they believe it and take it in at first, they don't want to disbelieve it later on. It becomes part of their life; it becomes what we now call an alternative reality. It begins to shape politics. It begins to instantiate itself not only in memory, but in policy. You act as if it's true and you move on to do things as though it were true. So, in our example, if we pretend that Trump won the election in 2020, then we have an argument for suppressing votes because we can say, well there was fraud, therefore we should suppress votes. Christianity You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness? Adolf Hitler © 2015 Kwiple.com

You jim crowed me Before hitler rose to power — And you're STILL jim crowing me Right now, this very hour. You say we're fighting For democracy. Fascists There are two kinds of fascists: those who give orders and those who take them. A popular base gives fascism the legs it needs to march, the lungs it uses to proclaim, and the muscle it relies on to menace — but that's fascism from the neck down. To create tyranny out of the fears and  hopes of average people, money is required, and, so too, ambition and twisted ideas. It is the combination that kills. In the absence of wealthy backers, we likely would never had heard of Corporal Mussolini or Corporal Hitler. Madeleine Albright, Fascism: A Warning © 2021 Kwiple.com
Freedom Looks like by now Folks ought to know It's hard to beat Hitler Protecting Jim Crow. Freedom's not just To be won Over There. It means Freedom at home, too — Now — right here! from “How About It, Dixie” by Langston Hughes © 2017 Kwiple.com
Lies The broad mass of a nation … will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one. Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf © 2021 Kwiple.com
Public discourse The receptive ability of the masses is  very limited, and their understanding small; on the other hand, they have a great power of forgetting. This being so, all effectve propaganda must be confined to very few points which must be brought in the form of slogans. Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf © 2022 Kwiple.com

Trumpists say I haven’t given you all a history lesson in a while, and I wanted to give you a little history on homelessness. [In] 1910, Hitler decided to live on the streets for a while. So for two years, Hitler lived on the streets and practiced his oratory, and his body language, and how to connect with citizens and then went on to lead a life that got him in the history books. It’s not a dead end. They can come out of these homeless camps and have a a productive life — or in Hitler’s case, a very unproductive life. Trumpists say Well, I see good things about Hitler.  Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler. But this guy that invented highways, invented the very microphone that I use as a musician, you can't say out loud that this person ever did anything good and I’m done with that. I’m done with the classifications. We’ve got to stop dissing the Nazis all the time. They did good things too.  Kanye West, a.k.a.
